Zakiyyah "Rudy" McDonald, a Texas native and graduate of the illustrious Booker T. Washington High School for the performing and Visual Arts. She received her Bachelor's degrees in the Arts and Education from Texas Woman's University and earned an Associates in Business at Cedar Valley College. Zakiyyah has graced the dance space with dancers such as Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Kim Abel, Moussa Diabate, Melissa Young, Darrell Cleveland, and many more. Her training consists of but is not limited to, DAllas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Ballet Center, Ozsoy School of Ballet and Joffrey Ballet School (NY).

She is a 33 year old vibrant soul and enjoys teaching dance to all ages of children as well as directing her own middle school program in Grand Prairie ISD. She is the current DAnce Director at Jackson Middle School where she was the Teacher of the Year for the 2020 - 2021 school year. She has worked with Grand Prairie Arts Council and choreographed Disney's THe Lion King Jr., Disney's Moana Jr., Matilda the musical and The Wizard of Oz Jr.

In her spare time she loves to travel, take on new forms of cuisine, and participate in adventures such as camping, zip lining, and diving. Though she likes to have fun, she's all about business. Zakiyyah is diligent, trustworthy, ethical, and most of all humble which keeps her level headed and successful in all of her  endeavors.
